There are many groups of experts in the medical field as non-profit associations, learned societies, associations of independent physicians who need to promote research through medical studies.
Although these research groups that were sponsored by laboratories and foundations, and sometimes helped by professional organizations that welcome them, they often have few material resources and personnel to be able to conducta clinical study from the beginning to the end.
This is why the use of electronic CRF EOL©, investigator-oriented internet application, is the ideal solution for this type of organization.
Benefits of EOL for research groups:
EOL© has been hosting the most important national epilepsy registry for five years www.grenat.org with more than 10000 inclusions to date.
Each doctor can keep track of his visits, by exporting his own data.
A national epidemiological map is available in real-time for members of the registry as well as a search engine with criteria on the entire database.
For the establishment of a computerized register of epilepsy patients in the frame of GRENAT (National Epilepsy Group Register) and in partnership with the French Foundation for Research on Epilepsy (FFRE), we wanted to create a computerized card accessible via the Internet, user-friendly with fast navigation, which can be completed in a few minutes in consultation.
Today this has been accomplished thanks to the Medsharing team, its expertise and its competence in the filed of clinical research. The EOL© software could be easily set to register mode for the prospective collection of data recorded using the international classification of epilepsies and epileptic syndromes. Moreover, the developments and improvements have been tailored for us. We assessed the availability, ability to listen and the willingness of the Medsharing team to satisfy our specific needs.
